what is a colophon?

a colophon is "an inscription at the end of a book or manuscript usually with facts about its production" and/or "an identifying mark used by a printer or a publisher" according to mirriam webster.

i named this part "imprint" at first, but apparently an imprint is in or at least closer to the beginning of a book or newspaper, which didn't fit. same goes for the "editorial page", the "masthead" and the "folio" and apparently the discrepancy between placings is too much, but applying it to a website is ok, even tho it makes much less sense.
