thoughts and things written into the void
last appointment done for the md paperwork, so now i just have to wait for the doctor to send me the document and then i can finally turn everything in! if they don't have any complaints and want even more stuff, they'll have two weeks to come to a decision.
for the first time in the while i managed to write some creative text(s). don't know if anything will come of it, but it's still nice.
alphabets
new section! i want to try to write some alphabets inspired by a friend who was inspired by the style of laura leupi's "the alphabet of sexualized violence"1. in the book leupi collected / wrote words, associations and definitions and sorted them alphabetically by keyword. there are also texts from the first-person perspective - i don't know if or how they are arranged, but it's not chronological. if i understand it correctly, the book intends to build a language-based frame around a topic (sexualized violence and rape, especially in one's own home) that is seldomly talked or written about. it's really good and i recommend reading it2.
i like the mix of specific / abstract and structure / flexibility, so when a friend mentioned that they were writing their own alphabets, i started to think about following their lead. so the first one (we'll see if there will be more or if i can even finish that one) is about my disabilities.
[decided on orange as a color for the alphabets-section, because they feel somewhere in between lists (yellow) and writings (red). at some point i will trap myself in all my color rules, but so far it works.]
the letters a, b, c and e in my alphabet of disability are done. i also added the first short text: arbitrariness.
(very) small update in the meta (b)log.
i created a small lists collection (which might itself be a list) for very small or specific topics with few items, for example bird call descriptions in wikipedia. also updated the maybe list.
officially sent off the wheelchair paperwork and according to the tracking, it already arrived. so my part is done, for now. all that i have to do is wait. also, i included a letter writing a bit about my personal experiences, in the hope that might humanize the process a bit. no clue if that was a good idea.
i made a directory for all pages on this website, because i realized the structure might not be as intuitive for everyone as it is for me (who would've thought!).
